Panasonic announce plans for Toughbook Android tablet
The Panasonic Toughbook Tablet: Panasonic has announced its desire to enter the evermore populated world of touch screen tablets based on Android’s platform before year’s end. They are planning to launch a rugged Toughbook branded device.
Cantered around a 10.1in multi-touch outdoor display with XGA resolution, Panasonic’s tablet offering will be resoundingly different from Apple HP and the wealth of other companies that have taken flight since Apple brought out the Ipad.
“The vast majority of tablet devices – regardless of the OS – are engineered for consumers and don’t offer appropriate levels of security and durability or the functionality needed for business use,” asserted Panasonic’s Rance Poehler. “Like all Toughbook products, our Toughbook tablet will be designed and constructed with the mission-critical mobile user in mind.”…….Watch this space.
